You Intoxicate Me

My hushed mind woke furious from love when night came. You'd outline a path and traced the lines of my frame. Not once did I choose to close my eyes to your game. Morning came as it always did full of grief blame What's left a blur, stained and soiled, brought shame. Tied to passion I knew I'd never be the same. 9/1/2019 Poetry Contest: Writing Challenge 4, August 2019 - Six Lines - Sponsored by: Dear Heart - Wiishkobi Ode

I could say been there, done that, bought the hat and got the t-shirt but how would that sound to others? I don't care - I felt your lines and they are the product of some excellent writing. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
