You Have the Power

A deed done good Is done as it should Bring help it could To the brotherhood The sisterhood And the neighborhood. A deed done bad Makes all sad It shouldn’t had It’s positively mad A passing fad Begets, “Egad” As the doer of the deed These words please take heed Of bad one’s there is no need For good one’s we all plead It’s your choice of course indeed You have the power to pick the deed I hope that you succeed

After watching the memorial service live from Missouri this afternoon, I am convinced the entire town is full of Good Samaritans--just as you wrote in this piece, they benefit the sisterhood, brotherhood, and finally the neighborhood. Empowering those to do good deeds makes this a very pleasant poem indeed. Gwendolen

Congratulations, Joe, on your shared 2nd place win in my contest. I always judge them blind, without knowing who the authors are. So, when I come here to see who won, I get a wonderful surprise. It is so nice to see you here among the winners. Thank you for supporting my contest...and for your patience in waiting for the results. Lovingly, Dane Ann

Well done, Joe. This would be a great entry for Gareth's "inspiration" contest and I hope you entered it. I'm still laughing when I think of the limerick you wrote for Deb. Wonder how she reacted to it?? Love, Carolyn
