You have forgotten me, dear friends, but I forgive you

You have forgotten me, dear friends, but I forgive you, For within me burns a flame that never dies, With your words, you pushed me into the wilderness and the vast unknown, Yet I found strength and faced the deluge of life. You plucked my wings and tossed them to the winds, But I flew with dreams accompanied by illusions, In places where no one felt my presence, I found my own shine, unspoken strengths. On the path of the heart, with unstoppable steps, I carried you in my shadow, without your knowing, In lofty depths, in abyssal thoughts, In my heart you reside, love sustains me. Journeying through the labyrinth of my soul, Alone and lost, yet stubborn in the search, You left me to wander through dreams and longings, With empty arms, I conquered bending. You've lost yourselves at the horizon's distance, In the silence of scattered and empty hands, But within me, you remain, vivid memories and presences, Though I've been submerged and faded into oblivion. You have forgotten me, dear friends, but I forgive, Freed from the chains of the past, I behold you, In my soul you will always have a special place, For love and forgiveness find their truth in me. Where our paths have diverged, Awaking in a labyrinth of fate, I carry you in ineffable memories, dear friends, With long verses and strains of song slipping away.
