You Do Not Shed a Tear
The things that we do. The things that we say. It wasn’t meant to be done like that
It wasn’t supposed to come out that way.
Lies we do tell, please don’t tell me you don’t. Truths can be bent - but how far?, that’s the call.
Directions flow through the passage of life. A wrong turn here or there and it still works out all right.
But when the devil in you comes to the fore. You know which path to take but you go through the wrong door.
Punishment can be severe and prolonged. You know what you were doing, you knew it was wrong.
Decisions we make in anger or fear outweigh decisions we make when the horizon is clear.
The gravity of life bears down year on year. The weight you inflict on your soul when for it you don’t shed a tear.
