You Can't Trick Me
Playing on my emotions, trying to keep me in line,
I will turn the tables on you and make you believe I'm fine,
Is that being dishonest.. while you're being dishonest from the start?,
Because if I told you that I can see through your game, you would deny it because you believe your smart,
You would take your sneaky plot, and try to turn it all towards me,
Just because I can see your intentions, and you can still hide your insecurity,
Because if you can't be honest with yourself, how could possibly be honest with me,
And you certainly can't claim that you love me if you're playing games to see,
And especially to the one person who would love you unconditionally,
And would never use that insecurity against you, because they love you genuinely,
Your fear screams louder than your words, and your heart still has doubts,
It doesn't make you any less lovable, but I want you to see what this is all about,
So I patiently wait for your honesty, and respect your heart needs time,
And still remain your friend and hopefully you'll find,
You will not sway me one way or the other,
I will stand firm on my values to see,
Your only tricking yourself at this point, your not tricking me.
