You Can If You Dare

You can if you Dare
Conditioned minds, controlled, domesticated
Governed by rules
Mortal law books unique to individual fools
without questioning the content absolute or truth
Each generation bearing their own scared fruit
Unwittingly victims controlled by degree
A creature of habit, a reaper with glee

Victims controlled by tyrant inner judges
spirits marred by resentment and grudges
blame, guilt, the shame of it all, catalyzed fatuous headspaces
the noise of others drowns transparency
Pretending with layers forging distorted perspectives on reality

You can, if you dare, defeat the gate keeper
Shrouded by black, the dark grim reaper
Heart raging, thoughts echoing around a parallel dimension
Look deep inside you will see it is you the intervention

You can, if you dare, defeat the mighty warrior
Who lovingly, with glee, controls your behavior
You can if you dare dance with the demons, forgive and release
For they will relinquish the fight, they will cease

You can if you you dare be vulnerable be real
stop living up to a false ideal
you can if you dare reveal your glorious wild untethered soul
you can if you dare see colors so magnificent
Wrap around you not needing societal consent
You can if you dare release the demons fly free

So i dared to take a chance, I danced with the gate keeper, a tango of sorts
A worthy opponent, a fight well fought
We chassed and twisted, we sidestepped and swayed
We travelled in time, confronted demons who controlled my headspace
I blessed them and gifted them a s state of grace
Yes I am the gate keeper, I hold the key
I finally realize it was always me
