You Are Truly a Find

Oh dear friend of mine 
You are truly a find

I want to return
A favor for your words

And the love you showed me
When I was feeling empty 

You helped me out
And were there for this gal

You pulled me through
Helped me dust off my wounds

My talent is rhymes
Knew I’d write one in time

Back then I survived
But now I thrive

It’s in part for your ways
And available days

And the love of my God
Who pulled me from the fog

And cleared my head
To my path just ahead 

Comes down to time, love and presence 
I know, I’ve seen the evidence
