Notes About The Poem

You Are The Gift

God gave you a mind and soul, that are
strictly your own.

When you abandon them, to be one of 
the crowd, a sure sign, you are not grown.

Yet, I see this each day, where approval
from others, is the golden prize.

Indicating, a most lonely child, lost, never 
respecting, their own brain and body.

Pleasing others, by quieting their own true
rainbows of truth~ a terribly tragic story!
