You Are Now a Man My Son
When you stand with love and virtue
when you walk with loving songs
when you hold the hand of others
then you are a man my son
You don't need to bet and Gamble
you don't need to be a drunk
you don't need to be a fighter
to be a man my son
you can be a man a lover
working hard to feed his wife
you can be a careful lover
overcoming strife in life
You can stand and build a mountain
you can build a city wide
you can help to move a mountain
when you are a man my son
you can dance with love and laughter
you can sing and play life's games
you can feel joy within you
when you are a man my son
you can have the fear of failure
you can sometimes be afraid
you can fight the fear within you
and be a man my son
on days you will be stronger
the lions roar success
on days you will be weaker
but you're still a man my son
Granted there will come a day
that you must stand a fight
to protect your loving family
and be a man my son
granted we must budget
we must learn, to strive and save
we must learn to build a living
to be a man my son
but the greatest way of living
is not dominating strong
but with friendship, love and laughter
you are now a man my son
