Jewish or Palestinian, You are first human, The war will be useless, Jewish or Palestinian, Only peace has meaning, Made you holy men, Jewish or Palestinian, You are living beings, Dying is not a party, Jewish or Palestinian, Since I was born, This war lasts on earth, Jewish or Palestinian, You make men ashamed, From whatever country they are, Violence won’t solve anything, Jewish or Palestinian, You will have to talk, Jewish or Palestinian, May my poem guide you On the blessed land of the world, To live is to understand. Jewish or Palestinian, You are human first.

a powerful poem, Yann. The tragic impossibility of the ongoing war raging in the Middle East is evident in your words. I agree, we're human first. We all bleed, have pain, love, etc. Focusing on differences seems downright inhumane! Sara
