You and Me Will Always Be
Inside, where I am best known
For the music I preach, the silence
The peace – the breath of grace
Inspiration that stays alive because
I know what it means to believe…
Inside of me – there is a memory
So kind and sweet, like the color breathed
In light, soft and gentle, sensing the
Hope that comes to life because I can see
You are that moment, that precious seed
Planted by the hand who guides me,
The One who abides with me, comforting
Every fear, erasing all my tears, stirring
The laughter that brings me through
Inside of me – there is a piece of you,
My friend, my companion – the reason
I can see through the mystery into the secret
Dream, the memory of you and me…
Brave and young, like the stardust glitter
Sprinkled across the night, brilliant and alive
Scattering poetry that brings the heart
From darkness to light, from sad to happy
From the memory to the reality of today…
When you bring me through the past
With assurance that our love will last
Forever and always, binding – bonding
Our lives, so that the dim becomes bright
As we dance through the light – alive inside
Where our hearts and souls silence the doubts
Celebrating the love that is forever and always!
