You and I

You & I We’re nothing like them Unlike the ones with love as a trope Lost souls mingling at the end of the meadow Where there is nothing to lose Yet I felt like losing myself to you Embark of a Serendipitous rendezvous We walked for a little while Wandering into nothingness Our roads never seeming to end Like the bleak Siberian wilderness Parallel and almost akin Yet we felt diverged Conclusion of a Zemblanitious affair All that remains are the ashes of our feelings That were once the shards of crystal Isolated and Indifferent, unlike the twin poles of the axis Running around the pyre of our love with burning torches Our Epitaph reading You & I We’re nothing like them -Pooja
