You
You believe you are you by who and what you are
but could your existence here be such as a scar?
Is it possible your illusions and teachings are wrong?
Are you simply a vessel carrying forward past's song?
Though you believe in you and You to be just so,
Is not what was force-fed all that you know?
Has not the rest of you been pulled from a shelf?
Is there barely a bit left that should be yourself ?
‘Forced’ were letters, numbers, beliefs, what’s False or True!
Controlled and conditioned is this thing you call You!
Burned in the distinction between your left and your right!
Could you describe 'You' if alone in a cave on the darkest of night?
Of life experience – how much hints to You wrong?
Do You ‘follow-the-way’ and keep tagging along?
Must You agree or disagree for the ‘need’ to belong?
A safe path-of-prevention avoiding rejection - or hung?
Open your mind as you work or walk an empty-long hall.
Question the fact if you're here – or are you anywhere at all?
Look around and experience what I’m trying to say.
Free your 'Self' from their shackles for one moment a day!
A body with mind empty was granted to carry your soul
at the mercy of -anyone's- beliefs and methods to bestow.
The beginning started life empty - Free of God's hand.
Just who would you be - if born in a faraway land?
You were 'You' at the beginning… 'before' the beat of the heart.
Your desire and greed grew in proportion as 'You' did part.
Becoming ever less of yourself in equal to greed as you ascend.
So..! Who will you find when you find YOU at the End?
