Yet More Cosmic Thoughts
iron sun in a universe grown cold,
still, lightless and lifeless,
surrounded by universes bursting
with thought
captured moons of long dead suns
spinning off into a meaningless void
once life tread on rich soil
once hopes and dreams soared skyward,
once emotions energized the auras,
of beings long vaporized
magnificent ships lost in dark space
stilled to hydrogen's break-up
another long extinct race
cosmic lights carbonized,
black holes of hopelessness,
sucking in time and spirit...
a universe past the verge of destruction
thought-consciousness-life...
all seemingly gone...
or is it?
a trillion trillion years from
birth to death-
the lifespan of our cosmos-
or a pulse in the proton's movement
in a higher level-
whose higher level still
is a cyclical wave
neverending-
in an ocean of dimensionless
dimensions
God: the All-That-Is;
the only connection to all
this madness...
and we are all a part of God-
each man, woman, dog and rock-
each star, each flea,or anything-
large or small-
each atom, quark, or proton...
and if God wills it,
even the mighty proton shall decay...
darkness and light reverse themselves..
in a dance of cosmic time...
meaningless in the end...
only consciousness and increased
awareness have meaning...
Love is the filter of Knowledge...
Knowledge is the fruit of God.
