Yet I Only Desire Loves Immeasurable Truth

Yet I Only Desire Loves Immeasurable Truth Death so like a shadow this poor soul seeks Whereas new dawn its breath so slowly gifts Moving in cadence, its rhythm so sleek And adversity, it spits in dark shifts Holding true, its thunder it soon displays Undefeated tracing of horizon's stone heart Such tis magical beauty cast each day A long trip, would be folly not to start Within fusion of red blood and white bone Journey I, stout of heart and willing mind This conscience cleared of black-hearted stone We pray the light of truth we may there find. Rumor has it there lays the fountain of youth. Yet I only desire loves immeasurable truth! Robert J. Lindley, March 8th, 1972 Sonnet

Words stemming from the heart speak of love and life. Splendidly done my friend. I like the turn in the ending as well.

A great desire to have at any age, Robert. I think we could have been great friends when we were young. I'm blessed to have you as a friend now. So many of your thoughts were similar to mine as a young man. Your poetry resonates with my heart, my dear friend. Have an enjoyable weekend! Bill

Thank you very much my good friend. I know we could have been friends when we both were young as we are now. And I too have thought that same thing when I was reading your fine poetry. God bless you my friend.
