Yet, He Moved On
Into a life unknown to him
he ventured through the door
on this new morning.
Not knowing what to expect,
what lies beyond what is seen,
he pressed on, unwavering
when the winds of resistance
threw their mighty punches,
when the waves of despair
enveloped him, suffocating him
to the point of losing breath.
Yet, he went on, not knowing
but had hope in his heart
for a sunshine to be there
waiting to greet him this day.
