“All things can tempt me from this craft of verse: One time it was a woman’s face, or worse – The seeming needs of my fool-driven land; Now nothing but comes readier to the hand Than this accustomed toil.”
— William Butler Yeats
I am a sinner and yet instill
all things can tempt me
my passions rage within my will
yet all things can tempt me
I can feel in the moral of my bones
The ill gotten chills of my heart and soul
my passions rises within my heart boils
yet all things can tempt me
material things I want them ALL
within myself I wound, steal, or kill for
just the thoughts of stealing revolting
choice processes still our baiting
since the dawn of creation
I am a sinner and yet instill
all things can tempt me
my passions rage within my will
yet all things can tempt me
