Yesterdays Wishes

That was yesterday. I forgot. If I could… I would have just done the laundry. It’s afternoon. The moon came out already. It does that sometimes. After the moon, I eat. Laundry. Socks, shirts, spinning, and churning. I wish. That was last night. I have work today. I pull out my last clean clothes. And leave.

Huh... this really works because I can hear your voice as a kind of monotonous buzzing, making this real and beautiful. Congrats! Xo

Dear Angelica, the daily routine, a feeling of regret and your thoughts about both, in the present-moment-feeling of this poem, is expressed with vivid imagery. Congratulations for your win in Craig's contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
