Yesterday's Wishes

Without sugar, I'll sip on my espresso I can still taste yesterday's sweetness We abandoned yesterday's mistakes, worries, and despair all money in the world cannot resuscitate yesterday our actions and words are irreversible somersaults. Yesterday's wishes dried up like lost dreams in the woods golden skin echoed hollow vows with a wistful, spun glow Alms shimmer like souls, but we can't rule out karma we must avoid future risks, hurdles, and a stoic canvas. Dreams and stones mingle, like torn bones or hearts sun rays dye crimson roses—an icy reminder of lost shine Gypsy whispers, dancing blades, and wigs create chaos broken glass shards can form vows and heal scars hedged hymns that hum in hectic hoods are tedious. defied the cosmos and sought fortune and fame revered and emulated idols of love and peace but wished to be Gandhi or Mandela and achieve triumph Philosophy and psychology foster love. Pinprick orbs, a bohemian strain, drift with sun dust everything I remember seems like yesterday If life gives you the embers you asked for, embrace the pearls.

SP, the optimistic start and end to this poem set the tone you suggest for how we might live happily. It's something to note how we can be affected by the nature of things which includes painful and pleasant memories. I think you're onto something extraordinary here in that there is a way to organize our thoughts so that we can feel good about ourselves and what we may or may not have done.

Yes, our yesterday affects our today and today, tomorrow. So we must live in goodness and kindness because karma's forgiveness does not stop her wrath. And we must wake up every day with a new dream and run with the new dreams till they come to life.

Hi Lasaad my friend, can man change the history of mankind no - likewise we cannot change the yesterday in our lives, or plan the day of tomorrow. The happy medium is the best way to go, and in more philosophical language, which you put together so eloquently in this poem , it would mean the present. A fantastic write dear friend Blessings, Jennifer.

"Without sugar, I'll sip on my espresso I can still taste yesterday's sweetness"... Love the clever opening to the poem. Past is sweet and nostalgic. But past cannot be brought back. It is irreversible with its triumphs and follies. So learn to accept the fact that past is past and leave it as such. Work in the present and embrace life as it presents itself. You have delivered some highly philosophical thoughts in lucid language. A Great Composition

Your poem masterfully weaves together themes of nostalgia, loss, and hope through rich imagery and thoughtful metaphors. It reflects on the irreversible nature of the past while advocating for acceptance and mindful living. The poem's philosophical undertones and evocative language make it a poignant meditation on the human experience, urging readers to find beauty and meaning in both the past and present.

“ If life gives you the embers you asked for, embrace the pearls” what a powerful reminder, to embrace the light amidst what life might throw at us! How well written i think this is one of my most fave ones written by you! With such descriptive and meaningful diction and so much conveyed in a very introspective manner too! While also maintaining a philosophical flow of lines! Excellent! Pleasure reading this! Theres only few that would remember and appreciate the sweetness of yesterday. As most dwell on sourness! Fave
