Yesterday's Tears
When smoldering embers
ignite, they sometimes burn.
Pain is a part of love,
how else are we to learn?
Life is fraught with sad tears,
manipulating fate.
And depression deepens,
when you trade love for hate.
Indulging fantasies,
you let chance guide you through.
But you hide your feelings,
and hope keeps passing you.
Seduction and desire
fuel the flames of passion.
Yet, you sacrifice truths
when sin is in fashion.
Drain the emotional
weight of yesterday's tears.
And take stock of your life,
don't give in to your fears.
