Yesterdays' Friends
Borrowed friends should
be the most durable
like stretching leather
Their circle unbroken
They listen to every word spoken
You could talk poetry for hours
and they endorse it
as I shared their news
of yet journeys untrumpheted
but time is shallow
and there are no more
The Autumn mists swallow friends
their golden memory lasts
through the cold clouds of time
