Yesterday

Yesterday the park was dry,
The grass yellow,

The earth dry and dusty,

Last night it rained,
and it rained,

Until the clouds were finally
ready to move on;

Today,
as I walked in the park,

There was a sweet smell of earth in the air,

And everywhere I looked,
Was so, so
Green
