Yes, My Dear, I Love You

You ask me if I love you
I can only answer this
the world vanishes when you are near
as I wander in the music of your soul
and inhale your beauty as I do the air I breathe

I'll dance in your eyes
like a butterfly hovering
in the fragrant petals of a blooming flower
with honeyed words dripping when spoken
to quiet our trembling heart
blooming in the fields of our yearning desire

where the sun rises on our face
beckoning love to fill our soul
with tender bonds of emotional realms

should I say more
or fall into your arms
and tenderly embrace the grace of love
inviting the fantasies of our dreams
calling into the wilderness of tomorrow
with whispered breath and hearts pulsating
with the melody of love
when our eyes close before each kiss
and I say...I love you

It’s rare to read something that captures both the electric excitement of desire and the calm safety of true intimacy so effortlessly. The ending brings it all home so tenderly. The music drives the reader home. I hope the one it was intended for read and heard your message. Gorgeous writing. Stunning. One of your best.
