Yes Color Matters
The Pinks came and got me
I hid in the shadows, they are always so bright.
I wanted nothing to do with them.
Orange joined the Pinks
but my eyes were shut,
I never saw her.
The Blues came, bringing the sky
some were trying to drag a piece of ocean
but she slipped away, knowing her place.
I like the Blues, but I was waiting for Orange.
The Greens came the next day. They are loud and exuberant.
Too liberal for my taste.
My best friend is laughing. Shut up!
One of them is not so bad.
I might have been coaxed out by her
But I was waiting for Orange.
By day six I left with Yellow,
so annoyed by Orange now
that we were never friends again.
I was too angry to ever forgive Orange.
