Yellow Orange and Blue
Gather round my children
For a bed time story
All about this wizard
Who fought in fame and glory
He lived in this old castle
When the world was new
When evil wizards ruled the world
Through spheres of violent blue
While other wizards stood and watched
Our hero lit his staff
And fiery orange and yellow light
Would split those balls in half
It happened almost nightly
Till all that could be seen
When yellow orange met blue balls
And everything turned green
Now that is why the landscape
Ever since that dawn
Has got a growing green top
That we now call the lawn
So go to bed my children
The dawn is coming soon
You’ve got to do the mowing
And the bushes need a prune
And dream about this wizard
And what he’s done to you
For he said only children
Could maintain what now grew
Now I’d be out there helping
If I thought the wizard wrong
But dads have held this theory
Since that wizard’s day long gone
