Yellow Canvas Shoes

Dangerous balancing act on center yellow, somewhere betwixt someone’s write and who’s left. Tempting banana’s savory splits and discarding bitter lemons. Tiptoeing comfortable dandelions and fragile yellow pansies, unwilling to crush feelings of yellow inadequacy. Purity of white soles bear the weight of dark amber. Sunrays dance on white lace, attracting yellow’s wayward monarch butterflies. Some may say within yellow lurks cowardice and caution. I say yield, for there’s mystery in yellow canvas and it’s mellow is distilling a vagabond’s whiskey sunlight.

Here is delish ambiguity that is intoxicating (what you sayin' girl!) You are twix & tween decisions - thoughts bouncing here and there - you doubt yourself (self effacing) yet not to the point of submission. Love the jux of "write" & left (clever). Does the crushing of soles mean anger...(Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it - Twain) Is the white purity, perfection without emotion - yet you doubt your own and hint at wishing to escape? Great poetry!

Thank you, Rick. My mind works in mysterious ways and this ditty is certainly up for a reader's interpretation. I was in a funky mood when I wrote it. I also agree...yellow is frickin awesome! I cannot have a bad day when I wear yellow.

(took me forever to figure out how to successfully add pics and it would take an equal amount of forever to remember how I finally did. while I could help you come up with questions for the book, I regret I lack answers. You and I are becoming very wise apparently, according to some quote I once read, "to know that you know that you do not know is the beginning of true wisdom." Does that help?)

What inspired this wonderful write, I'm a wondering! It is both flippant and poignant; a fine piece of poetry with outstanding imagery and delivery. You have yet to show all you can do, I just know because your creativity is individual uniqueness that so impresses me, I find I want more and more of what I know is in you. This poem is as unique as your imagination and very impressive. (Personally, I love yellow - my kitchen is red, yellow and black). Box says I can't share more. CayCay

I believe I like your yellow a lot more than you like my Game Systems Theory. There are winners and there are losers, and most of us compete and cooperate somewhere in-between, until we can't anymore. Going to that place where yellow and red and blue revolve around each other, more educationally cooperative.

I liked your Games System Theory, Gerald. I'm sorry if it came across differently. Maybe my interpretation was off. Thank you for stopping in.

This is awesome Rhoda! There seems to be more than just praise for yellow. Was someone mocking your favorite shoes? And. Still waiting on your novel. Any new pages?

Haven't done much writing as of the past week. I'm in research mode. Thank you for stopping in and for your support and encouragement. I need you to keep prodding me on this novel thing. I do lean towards procrastination lol. I'll send you what I have if you wish.
