we began this
up and down
in and out
around and around
that is us
on and on
the merry-go-round
of love
we created
years ago
your sickness
the addiction
makes me
walk away
but I seem
to wait
even though
I can't love
your sickness
yesterday
I saw you
your sickness
prevailed
you became
upset at me
because
I walked away
I told you
we're only friends
your sickness
loves you more
I told you this
