Years of Feeling Then What

years of feeling then what?

when I die,
leave my body
no longer mine.
I do not wish
to part from feeling.
even pain told me
I was aware.

does spirit feel
or is it empty?
automaton,
singing praises.
I fear that loss
of connection.
emotion is not a waste.

how will I be happy in heaven
or know the difference in hell?

A very inviting ponderation to ponder. I shall add it my list of wonder why's and such. I'm so happy to have arrived at the junction of "It's all awesome" and "Who gives a sh**?" Sorry, I guess I'm even more flip this time of day. Anyway, I do love the question and your thoughts. I'm not so fond of those who have the "absolute answer." I tend to think of it as an individual event. Ah well, I'm no better at philosophy than I am at poetry:-0 Enjoyed! ~ john

John I think you are a fine poet and so do many others here judging by the response to your work. Please believe this, I don't believe in BSing. Some of us have the spark and you my dear have it in spades. Flip away I love it!

When a body dies the "Sensory Awareness" returns to the great "Universal-Collectiveness"...nothing ever truly "dies"! Your new eyes will be opened to be aware once again; maybe light-years from this planet in another far-flung corner of the great cosmos. This is why we have sentient life--for without a biological consciousness how else could the universe marvel at all of its wonderous and awe-inspiring existence! My very warmest regards, Patricia. :) john P.s God's greatest miracle - Life!!!
