Notes About The Poem

Xmas Ushers Hope

Xmas ushers hope, as dawn breaks Beginning of new age God’s son descends; our dead heart shakes That we turn a new page We may become as He In carefree, joyous spree Shedding lust and envy Helping man to cope Xmas ushers hope ~~~ Xmas ushers hope, for mankind Feel heart aglow beckon Like Jesus, free from ego bind The time’s now to reckon We are not mind-body Let’s discard thoughts shoddy Love and light embody With love let’s elope Xmas ushers hope ~~~ Xmas ushers hope, if we shift In resonance with love No longer in desires adrift Head and heart, hand in glove Jesus has shown the way Trust God; with each breath pray Making love our mainstay Cease to strive and grope Xmas ushers hope 26-November-2021 Triple Quietus ''X'' Contest, New or Old Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France

Quietus is 9 lines, contest needed at least 10 lines, so I began with a double Quietus which soon became triple! A first for me, in this format :)

Thank you, Valsa! The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus The Christ affirms that at the beginning of each new age (Yuga), The son of God descends to demonstrate the potential of man. This time around, the lesson is Love. I wonder, if as a collective, we’ve learnt it …
