Notes About The Poem

Sorry, If I have missed some of your poetry...I don't even have a wife.. both were X'd (lol)

X'D By Time

X'd by time, my eyes close gently in mist
Rushed by the clock.. work, destiny...wife
All the great poetry...that I have missed
So many great poems, stories of life

To my fellow poets...let it be known
If I had more time, I would read you all
So if have I missed, some poems...you've shown
So very sorry, for time has held me thrall

But I promise you all, I'll try...my best
In time, god willing...I'll read you all soon
All your friendships and shares...well, I've been blessed
Closing eyes...Good night, morn or afternoon

X'd by time, my eyes are gently bawling
Sorry, got to go...my wife is calling

A humorous poem especially the last line. I know what it's like keeping up, but all we can do is our best..and I feel so bad if i have left one of my good friends out. Well penned my friend, Blessings, Jennifer.

;) Charlie, no one can keep up with all of the wonderful poems posted on Soup. I share your angst as I'm behind on reading too. Make no apologies; just read what you can. Very well expressed! Best wishes for success if this is entered in Emile's sonnet contest. Hugs, carolyn

It's the thought that counts--lovely sentiments you express in this poem, Charlie. You speak for many.
