The Devil you thought you knew, is no longer here
What I bring and brought to you is a stronger fear
Take a look in the mirror.. into your own eyes.. do you despise?
What do you surmise? Does it come as a surprise?
Love of yourself, is it true to your soul?
Is it the world or yourself who has control?
Inner peace needed, our souls are depleted
Self awareness isn't breeded, self destruction isn't heeded
Pure greed is fostered, i'm watching the fall of Rome
Its the norm now to come from a broken home
Mom and Dad, can't get along, it seems like the same song
Placing the blame is easier than to claim wrong
We are in a new age, where people are outraged
By every web page, every word just draws rage
Offended? Isn't it splendid? sign a petition
Because the world didn't live up to your condition
False pride is a joke, untruths make me choke
My desire?... in truth? is to prod, poke and provoke
And so as you stare, if you dare, in the mirror
Are you clear? what is there won't bring you to tears?
No man is an island, otherwise you're just stranded
Millenial minds muddled, I myself don't understand it
Please cease and desist, resist the urge to purge
Thoughts that aren't the same, a new way can emerge
