Wrong Place
He stood there patient as could be
While staring down the aisle, wide
He knew she’d be there, so he hoped
But yet felt scared on the inside
He watched his watch so many times
As faces seemed to know and stare
Yet he had waited, so patiently
And prayed that she would show up there
But, looking round, he noticed this
That faces shown, he knew none there
Oh my, the worst has happened here
Where were his friends, he knew not where
The best man there, he did not know
The priest who stood, he had no clue
He realized then the church was wrong
Soon he then knew just what to do
He ran so fast down the aisle, wide
Out to the street, he stopped to see
The church was not the one he knew
It wasn’t where he was to be
But three blocks down and on the right
He ran so quickly, up the stairs he climbed
When through the doors, he opened wide
He was happy to see he was right on time
