Writing's On the Wall

If the writing's on the wall you know who wrote it If something needed to be said, you know who spoke it If something needed to be started, you know who provoked it If the writing's on the wall then you know who wrote it I've seen people speak so many words and still manage to not say a thing I don't speak to upset others, but the truth stings So I won't apologise for speaking my mind Will you make the most of it or be the one keeping the time? When I give my food for thought I always flavour it first I attack the pad with the passion of a soldier That's why there's blood on my pen, and the paper is hurt Finding the strength to fight while the world is relaxing on my shoulders I turn on the news and I'm seeing people going in schools and shooting pistols They'll say this isn't a subject I should speak on while using pencils if people disagree with my words I still won't apologise or erase my errors At least I'm not out killing innocent people and can still face the mirror Trump will get the world blown up and we'll all turn to ash He flies by private jet, so he won't be affected by causing us a crash I'm in the UK so I shouldn't care is what I'm told Flint Michigan is still without clean water, but to Trump that story is old It's sad to see people suffer so much Months after the puerto Rico hurricane and people won't recover their stuff Forced to start again without any kind of help My words mean nothing, because it won't measure to the pain they felt I wish I had the ability to make the world a better place I just hope all the good souls get accepted at the heaven gates Some people act hard, I'm trying to make myself a hard act to follow I'm just trying to Write good enough in hopes they want me to come back tomorrow If the writing's on the wall you know who wrote it If something needed to be said you know who spoke it If something needed to be started then you know who provoked it If the writing's on the wall you know who wrote it
