Writing Poetry

I have my dictionary, a thesaurus and a laptop filled with billions of pieces of information at my fingertips. There’s a staggering amount of words and combinations of words hidden in my keyboard. Like scrabble pieces spread out on the table, all I need to do is pull them out in the right order, at the right time, and with the right flow to create the right image. Aah, this should be easy.

writing is easy
getting your words to make sense
is the hardest part

I completely agree with you. My muse seems to be on vacation. Loved your haiku.

I agree....writing poetry should be easy...yet often it's not....I, too, have scattered pieces of paper and notes strewn over my desk and even taped to the closet door.

Well, Jerry, there could be an investigation, followed by a hearing(why not a listening), with the possibility of an indictment

I know it's not a true haibun because the haiku is more of a senryu. But I hope you won't hold it against me.
