Writing My Heart Out
The ticking of the clock,
Me sitting on my chair,
Reading the old stock,
Tying up my long hair.
I decide to sit and write.
Random thoughts on my mind.
Fingers playing with the pencil light.
Asking time to stop and rewind.
The soft background song,
And the words with meaning deep.
Make me wonder for long,
Reminding of promises to keep.
Controlling my thoughts
I focus on the present
And the work lots
To make the future vibrant.
I took to writing these lines
With a bright smile on my face.
Without spending any dimes,
I had that grace in my eyes again...
