Fruit flies are truly annoying. But killing them with the note book is staining the notebook...! Enjoyed the title and the humor of the act that led to its selection.

Yes, a tiny spot was definitely on my notebook. I do have lighted flying insect traps all over the house and it is amazing how many bugs of all kinds and sizes that are getting caught in them. Thanks for stopping by. Sara K

Get 'em. Especially annoying are insects that invade the home, outside I accept them, inside my home, I 'notebook' them. I enjoyed your violent poem. KIDDING, it's just that I normally turn away from violent poems, you gave me an exception. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

While bringing produce in the garden is a wonderful thing, I miss that feeling. We gardened in Virginia but not yet in Florida. There are different edibles that grow here, we've just got to get with it!!! CayCay

Why, thank you, CayCay. Yes, those fruit flies are a really negative nuisance that you don't want in your home. I have night lights that have sticky paper that draws them in, I have washable store-bought traps that I have used all summer. I wash them and then add vinegar plus dish detergent just a drop or two and the flies come to it and they get trapped and die. My husband brings in produce from the garden all the time and that is the reason they are so bad here. Sara K

I killed a cockroach yesterday. No fly should come near me. I have a deadly spray ready for contingencies.

And that was the end of him lol. Flies make my skin crawl, thankfully they're dying out now. Tom

Yes, Tom, the end of the season is drawing near, and they will disappear for the winter months. I have out several different kinds of traps for them which helps to eliminate them without having to spray so much bug spray. Thanks for the visit. Sara K
