Writer's Block

I have no idea what to write about. No idea at all.
I stare at the blank page before me completely lost.
My imagination has risen against me, It’s in full cabal.
My muse has grown cold and is dwelling with Jack Frost.

Once I could close my eyes and worlds would appear.
A multiverse of narratives layered up in tiers.
A vast universe of stories along many wondrous frontiers.
Transported to places so exotic I would lose myself for years.

The frigate of my mind upon the mental seas is tossed
And soon its over taken and forced to run aground
And all my inspiration has been captured now and lost.
By a black ship filled with pirates shrieking threatening sounds.

How pirates found their way into my mind, very much confounds.
Yet here they are before me perpetuating a mental holocaust.
I wonder at my misfortune and think I must be touched
For no one else I know has pirates sailing through their thoughts

JW Kiefer, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
