Writers Block
This naked paper glares at me
Demanding ink to drink
But all I see are vacant lines
In my desperate attempt to think
I need a word or maybe two
To get my ideas flowing
So I get a pen and start to write
But nothing is worth showing
So I scrunch up the paper another round
And start all over again
And hope that this time my idea
Will have a beginning and end
After a couple failed attempts to write
Words begin to fill the page
Its like I’m no longer in control
My thoughts are let our of their cage
No longer is my paper blank
Its pretty filled I’d say
With just a few more lines to write
I guess im on my way
My pen has dominated the page
Just like a high school jock
I put it down to rest, relieved
“there goes my writers block”
