Writers Block

I can't think of what words to write
I've tried all day and all night
Hey, I have writer's block
No, they say, what a crock
I wrote this, so looks like they're right!

A fantastic write for the Debbie Guzzi's Meter, Carol. Writer's block is a temporary phenomenon. Most writers experience this phenomenon one time or the other. A poet of your caliber has no cause for concern as you are capable of riding over the waves. I am glad you enjoyed reading my Haiku, Pat on My Backl. Thanks for your comments. Out of my latest posts you appear to have read this one only. I would like your comments on others as well so as to improve. -Mohammad

From time to time I get writer's block and do we call it a block. Nothing seems to sound right or seems to come together so you leave it alone for a while. If only some of my early morning thoughts could be written down and by the time I wake up it is almost forgotten and does not sound as good as it did when the mind was active. Great poem . love phyl

Great idea for the meter contest, Carol...Although with your experience I can't see you with a case of writer's block! Nope. Not for a single second...I saw a poem about ole Betsy Ross..I gotta check this one out. Historical stuff is my number one favs. ps..thanks for getting me out of my rigid box and inspiring me to write differently for your contest..It was very fun. Love, GWendolen

Dear Carol, Many thanks for your kind comment. I know far less about poetry than you do. I have no poetic expertise. And I mean NONE! I just write what pops into my head [line for line]. I enjoyed your poem, Writer's Block. That is something I just don't suffer from. In fact it's the opposite, I just wish my brain would switch off at times. I awoke at 4:00am this morning with the words, "Sweet, sweet breath of heaven". It's uploaded today. Have a wonderful day! Love, Maureen
