Writer's Block

Where to begin, when it's been so long
Pen to paper, as always before
Writer's block is what they call it
When the words just don't flow

Like an incomplete puzzle
A challenge to say the least
All the words are there
They just don't fit together right

Life sometime throws you for a loop
Just when you think it's all good
You end up on a different path
We have to deal with what we're dealt

I believe everything that happens
Happens for a reason
Whether we truly know or not
The world keeps revolving

So whether anyone notices
I will continue to try to put
Pen to paper, as always before
For the words to continue to flow

Thankfully writer's block has still to hit this Highlander. Here's hoping it stays away for quite a while. I do see some comments on the Soup of some poets/writers being hit with it. I just see so many avenues to write about, hence the variety in my poetry.....:)
