Write Until I Am Void

Because I don't want to realise one day that it was all for nothing.
That all the days I spent hunched over notebooks pouring my feelings out
All the hours I used my pen to empty the contents of my head
All the minutes I tried to instill power and emotion in every word I wrote or spoke
Was for my fortress to crumble at the slightest touch
Of reality.

So until the day I will have to wake up from my daydream
The day I tear up and forget every poem, story and song to at last grow up
I will write.

Write until there is no more to say.
Write until my heart is too empty to give anything more.
Write until my eyes know nothing but words and letters and lyrics.
Write until my soul is built only of my poetic illusions.
Write until I am void of everything.

I will write.
