Wouldn'T It Be Exceptional If a Comet Could Vomit

TWO TOO MANY LIARS

I saw her swagger and sway her hips as if they had something to say
So knowing the sweltering lady was a liar I ran the other way
Surely she’d say something about plans which faded away
And dreams of a knight on a white horse upon a fateful day

that knight drew his knife from its sheath to fight for a lady lovely of form
As Autumn leaves screamed out hues of greens and blues beyond the norm
It seemed the dress in duress and distress needed a hero born in the fall when leaves were aglow
What she didn’t know was that this knight’s faithfulness was lower than low

She sauntered down the street as I ran from a collision of two hearts and two minds
She wore sparkling jewelry and gems of every size, shapes and kinds
She never received gems from this knight upon whom she depended
But lo, no ’twas not by I the lady would duly be defended

And as I picked up my pace I envisioned her fancy free face
Then summoned forth the memory of her grandeur and grace
I recall when I was collecting kindling for my love lit unto a fire
Then I ran away because, as some people are, she was a pathological liar
