Would You Still Fall For Me

Let me just throw this out your way If we met today, this late in the game Would you still fall for me With the ways that I have changed Not just the thinning of the hair Or the more attitude of really don't care Where the older that I get There's much less finesse and no visible flair With the conversations that run dry As I nod along with that glare in my eyes I know that you love me But if we met today would you give me a try The way I ask where the hidden things are From what's in front of me in the fridge to the keys to my car And my never ending Honey do list That's fairly unused as I've never gotten that far Over the years I've grown on you gradually So I know in the distance that bell still rings But if we met today, this late in the game I wonder, would you still fall for me

I hope he would - I think I'm a better kinder person now than I was "then." He's been gone a long time. I love this poem of yours.

Yes Mike, this is a very touching write. I suspect she would say yes every time, ESPECIALLY knowing now what she knows:) GREAT write!

This is so sweet Mike; reminds me of that old Beatle song, "Would you still need me, would you still feed me, when I'm 64?!?" Very nice and thought provoking; really does make one wonder!~Che :)
