Would Twelve Thirty Work

Would twelve thirty work?
Sure, I say. What day?
She gives me a sideways glance. “Today?”
“Sure,” I agree. ” Why not?”
A glimmer of surprise flits across her eyes.
She is pretty inflexible, so she does not understand me.
She did not understand why she had to have counseling classes either.
But this is my second year at this school.
Now she knows I am a thirty-minute break, and she appreciates me.
She thanks me profusely.

I get it, Caren. When you're one of the blessed weird, people tend to not get you. The nicer you are, the more they wonder what's up. Have a great day! Bill

It is crazy to me, being from a small town.

Hmmm...I had a faint inkling that she didn't have any lesson plans for 12:30 today! See what a skeptic I am?

She was HIGHLY busy on her computer when I was in there. (Our lesson plans must be posted on Google Drive on Monday before noon and this was Tuesday).
