He lives in state care
Feels he is not loved
Keeps quiet as he grows
School can see his pain

New plan for him
More help at school
Read books at night
See a new world

Top in class
New friends love
Finds his voice

Warren, you have described many little ones I know who wish they lived in state care, because they have survived without the basics - food, water, love, or hope. I am so glad that DH has "made it in this diminished hexaverse. I want all of them to "make it". It reads like a Horatio Alger story which always has a delightful ending.
