Worlds Apart

At night when the stars stare at me,
I tried getting back our old memories.
Talking like a fool while watching the moon,
hoping you're on the other side staring back.
Coldness swallowed my being when I walk down the ground.
Searching for a path where we first laid our bodies down.
Breathless, you swore in my ears while we reach the finale.
You and I, 'til we're world apart, no one can divide.
Then you left my soul in the midst of darkness.
I learned how to embrace loneliness and pain.
I've waited too long to see you walking back at me.
Holding my hands and set my spirit free.
Years had faded my auburn hair into grey.
Whispering softly your name in the wind.
When the sunshine meets me in the morning
I know my darling, we're one heart in heaven.
