World War Iii Plea

I watch the news and I know not why
The doom and gloom draws me to cry
World War three may be on it's way
I sincerely hope it won't happen one day

The World's gone mad, who wants a win
When all there would be is a shameful sin
There's much abundance for all in life
Why invite such trouble and strife

Greed and power grips at the man
Just because he knows he can
Doesn't mean it makes him any better
We all know he's a real go getter

Does he care? No, not a jot
He'd ramp it up and blow the lot
Please don't do it, please rethink
People don't want life living on the brink

A very poignant write, Barbara! But I'm afraid man won't learn! Well done!

Thank you, I have no idea what has come over me. I'm a novice when it comes to poetry and have only recently started to look into. I rarely comment on the news but for some reason my thoughts come out easier in poetry. Surprised at myself. I appreciate your comment.
