World of Love

Listen to poem:
Written: November 20, 2023, For Joseph May Contest ________________________________________________ How pointless to fight for global friendship. We scatter sand, catch the wind, and waste life. We could gain a faint peak or bright red ship. We slide further as shades withdraw the strife. Despite our confusion, we hound our quest. The sound venture perseveres to renew. Nonetheless, the grave gateway is behest. We grunt a hive to our shock to pursue. Yet whose charitable tide is smoothing? Is akin to the vast, unknown ocean. Deep into our souls, your love is soothing. That would be requesting your direction. You are being heard, your palm is raised wide. Who would be keen on an erroneous guide?

Dear Sotto, this form suits you so well, you do sonnets so well, and they flow seamlessly and effortlessly with brilliant rhymes, i try hard when i hav to do a sonnet but you just do it so beautifully conveying such profound truths, “ Yet whose charitable tide is smoothing? Is akin to the vast, unknown ocean. Deep into our souls, your love is soothing.” These lines really hit home for me. Impeccable poem with exquisite diction. Its always an absolute pleasure reading you. Fave

Sotto--you've written so beautifully about the ofttimes quixotic quest for love. Your poem addresses the global search for love, a love that creates understanding and peace. Your rhyme scheme was perfect...you consistently amaze me with your poetic voice and ability. Have a pleasant evening, a poetess friend in Texas

Lasaad, my friend, indeed we ride on the waves of love and its "soothing" wings. I am always deeply touched by your philosophical poetic pilgrimages! "Despite our confusion, we hound our quest!" Truly love will win! That comes through so clearly in your thought provoking sonnet! Love your question in the last two lines. If this is for a contest, best wishes. Thank you for this sonnet of your heart - the work of your hands to remind us of the power of love. Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings

There is still some love and caring in the world, but there is also still some evil and hate. We can choose which one we want to have in our heart, it is totally up to us. Keep on writing. Sara K

Sotto, I hope the world is full of love, apart from those who are truly not, and those who come to mind of the erroneous kind. A great write for Joseph’s contest ~ Belle
