World of Lies

What a deceiving world we have today.
Progressive technology, here and there,
wonderful advances throughout our lives.
At the marrow, hate, prejudice, and intolerance.

So many by the book,
in this land of the eternal band,
Zealot, each and every one.

Driven to the core, repeated orthodox.
To live outside is errant.
We are all loved by the One,
no matter how far we stray.

Pushing ideas from father to son,
permeated hatred of the wayward child.
Seeds of intolerance, planted deep.
Drenched with the blood of brothers,
those daring few who came before,
unable to reveal their nonlinear life.
Should rise upon a pedastle,
Shepards of a diverse herd.
