Workers on the Eve
The halls are white,
and clean… pristine.
The tree at the nurse’s station,
blinks brightly.
Cheer is in the air,
even for the sick.
Shared smiles between angels,
that help to bare the burden,
of prolonged illness.
Prayers silently and loudly,
sent up by staff and volunteers.
The lonely and the alone.
Prayers for the holidays,
give us Your Spirit,
Your Healing,
Your Grace.
Put the laughter in this place.
Put music heard by saints,
in the background…
that reassure the remnant,
they are not alone.
They are…
warriors…
in the hours before dawn,
the day light of His Light,
an honor to serve.
